The position of an Agronomy Intern is of great significance to Valley Agronomics.  A person in this position is responsible developing and supporting relationships with the agronomy sales consultant. The Agronomy Intern is to help support and learn from agronomy sales consultant. Pulling soil samples and petioles. This position will be working with the Agronomic Advisor on a daily basis. The ideal candidates will possess basic knowledge in Agronomy Inputs, Seed, Crop Protection, Fertilizer and Precision Agriculture.  Candidate will also be required to help support plant operations staff.  If you are looking for an opportunity to work for a progressive company with advancement opportunities APPLY TODAY!

•    Promotes and coordinates the sales of fertilizer, crop nutrition products, crop protection products, seed, seed traits and seed treatments to maximize yield.
•    Implements marketing and sales plans; establish and meet sales goals; and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities.
•    Examines fields for yield, quality, adaptation to specific soils or climates, and resistance to diseases and pests.
•    Help growers discover best methods of planting, cultivation, harvesting, and effects of various climatic conditions on crops
•    Scouts fields and develop methods for control of noxious weeds, crop diseases, and insect pests.
•    Strictly follow all company policies which includes safety and regulatory.
•    Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
•    Communicate information regarding products and services with customers.
•    Perform other duties as assigned. 

•    Working on a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business or other Ag related degree. 
•    Support Agronomy Sales Consultants. 
•    Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public
•    Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service. 
•    Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
•    Must have strong relationship building skills.
•    Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
