The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the store manager oversee day to day store operations. The Assistant Manager oversees customer transactions and is to assure customer satisfaction throughout the store.  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the store manager in accountability for store performance and operations.
  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
  • Monitors all aspects of service and maintenance needs of the store. 
  • Protects employees by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Must be well versed in the standard operating procedures of the company.
  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, orienting and training employees.
  • Ensures all monies are accounted for and registers are balanced.
  • Maintains stability of the store by complying with all legal requirements.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Assistant Management experience in fast paced.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
  • Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
  • Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the store.
  • Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
  • Must have a manager focus in all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.
  • Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
  • Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Previous ag related customer service experience preferred.
This is a full time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
